    I think he’s a Moehcht.

Hey…great site. I love your work. Can you tell me what kind of pens and ink you like to use. I like to collect this kind of info from artists I like.
Keep up the great work. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s monster.

Thank you for all your comments so far! Lots of great names right there! Very nice! It’s always a choice between the openly surreal and the straight, but lovely, isn’t it? Albert and Clementine are just really nice names in any context. (Sus, you’re a Michel Gondry fan, are you?) Should the Moehcht be a Møehçht, perhaps? And the Disnortion Species, very nice. Sam Berkes obviously took a look at the Upstairs Neighbors pages. Horris the Humdrumbler has a really nice rhythm. Good one!
As for your question, lwoolf, I use the following materials: Yasutomo sumi ink, Faber-Castell PITT artist pens, Staedtler pigment liners, Kleenex brand tissues, and air. Lots of air.

i couldn’t tell from that angle if this monster is a boy or a girl, but for a boy i like the name hojay-pojay and for a girl i like the name scrambled legs.

this is very entertaining. thanks! have you thought about selling these?

  • 29 November 2006 2:54 pm

Hi Scott. I’m glad you like the Monsters. The thought of selling the drawings had occurred to me. I’m starting a new company to sell some goods in 2007 and these might be on the menu. I’m still debating…

Hmmm … I don’t have a name for him, but he certainly looks like one of those tiny critters who crawls around in our beds while we sleep …

haha. Michel Gondry fan indeed. although i’ve only seen eternal sunshine. nevertheless, it’s one of my favorite movies. 😉

This thing is definitely a Quirkifonaptor, a species known for its outlandish talents in belly blooping and napkin nobbing.

oh oh i love it! so inspiring! i think you should post your video onto livevideo.com too!!! it would be perfect!

Hey Megan. A Quirkifonaptor? That would be a very powerful figure on the Scrabble board. Quadruple word score for sure. Thank you for a great name. And thank you, lucia. I checked out livevideo.com just now. It’s eerily like YouTube. YouTube with a goatee—like the evil Spock. Do you prefer it to YouTube?

    stefan,
hah! sorry it took soooo long to respond. i didn’t know you responded back. i just found it today. i hope you get this. yeah i prefer to livevideo.com so much more than youtube. it feels a lot more livier and more a community. i love how you said it’s the evil spock… but i’m guessing that they want the users to feel really comfortable if they do move over from youtube to livevideo. but i was going through livevideo and they have a lot of pretty cool features that YT doesn’t offer. i don’t know soemthing about it … i think you should give it a try. just a thought.
    love,
    lucy
