DAILY MONSTER 92 (of 100)

Good morning. I hope your Saturday is treating you politely and with great care.
You’re visiting the monsters, so that’s a good sign that things are going your way. Please check out yesterday’s stories. We got another batch of fun tales waiting for you:

Storiesabout91_1

Monster 92 is steppin’ out. He’s young. He’s hip. He’s severely foreshortened! Where is this young buck off to? Does he live in a universe that allows horrible puns, leaving him to be named Tony Monstero? I sure hope not! What is his story?

We are about to head into the final week of the Daily Monster. Everything is building to Monster 100, who will be revealed on Sunday the 25th. After that begins the work of selecting the stories for the 100 DAILY MONSTER book. So many of you have crossed the threshold this week and started contributing stories and I’m glad you did. You posted great stuff and I hope you’ll stay with the monsters for the final stretch. If you’re still on the sidelines, I hope you’ll use this last week to jump into the breach
as well. Find a quiet moment and please…

Have a great and relaxing weekend!
Either rays of sunlight, a warm cat, or a good book
should come to rest on your stomach, even if it’s just fo a little while.
May it be so. And of course you will know
that 344 LOVES YOU

Noticed your “Read yesterday’s monster” banner says Monster 90, rather than 91.
    Sorry I missed yesterday’s.

Are you channeling R. Crumb today? Is this the Mr. Natural of Daily Monster Land?
In 1972, my brother-in-law graduated from high school. They had a fun loving student government that year and showed it in many ways, one being the Senior slogan they selected for graduation. They chose “Keep On Truckin'”.
My wife and I followed only one year later at the same high school. Our Senior Class slogan was “It is more real today than it has ever been before.” I’m guessing there was a little more front office input that year.
Either way both slogans could fit today’s monster. Easily a monster that isn’t troubled by anything life throws at it, it’s happy just being itself. Be real, and keep on truckin’.

    Clive was alive

    After five
    he thrived.

Hi Terry. You’re so right! This is what happens on three hours of sleep. :^) It’s fixed now. And Bill B, you’re absolutely right, too! It is the Mr Natural Monster, isn’t it?

Good day. I am Raoul, the famous footwear model. Today I am modelling the famous Blue Suede Shoes. Do I not look carefree and happy? It is all in the walk! Watch!

Lanky Hank liked to prank folks outside the dank old blood bank. He got tossed in the clank and ended up gettin’ shanked for dissing some toilet wine he drank. Now he’s out and apt to start back up the social rank. Good think for lanky Hank, lets hope he learned from his mistake.

“Affable. Suave. Adroit. All this and more is what you’ll embody when you wear Yoikey Airs on your feet. A ponce you’ll never be.”
Not only does he talk the talk, but he walks the walk. Blighter.

“Keep it real, my brotha, and the surreal will be your treat.”
The words slid out his mouth
like a one-two in the bout.
One cool cat, so icy slick
    D. Rovisi got penguins sick.
He carried the cool all the way
down to his shoes, blue suede.
Hands be trailin’, all who knew
his struttin’ walk, down East Avenue.
At the top of the game
    No where near
    The bottom of the chain
    No man to fear
    Havin’ all the fame
    Gettin’ all the cheer
    Hookin’ ev’ry dame
    Awe from ev’ry peer.
    D. Rovisi.
    Delicious to many.
    Every word he spoke,
    Like honey from the Pope.
    You should see his slide,
    to his ride,
    all his pride,
    on the south side,
    no where to hide,
    respect is bona fide,
    everything he’s tried,
    no one as guide,
    no time to bide,
    hella crib reside.
At the top of the game
    No where near
    The bottom of the chain
    No man to fear
    Havin’ all the fame
    Gettin’ all the cheer
    Hookin’ ev’ry dame
    Awe from ev’ry peer.

Gladys didn’t mind the names people called her and took everything in life in stride. She always put her best foot forward, which also happened to be her largest, and enjoyed the view. Feeling somewhat like a balloon on the wind, Gladys was happy to drift by the onlookers, a smile permanently emblazoned on her face.

    Sponsoring by BUCHER SHOES
